Just finished fourth season coaching Fairfield Youth Lacrosse. The past two years, she has also been an assistant coach at Fairfield Ludlowe. Sophia has experience coaching for a variety of competitive club and town lacrosse teams including the Grizzlies, Westport PAL, CMASS, Mass Mavericks, and the Bay State Bullets. On top of her experience in youth lacrosse, she has also coached at both the collegiate level as an assistant for the University of Bridgeport Women’s lacrosse team and at the National level as the head coach of the developmental German National Women’s lacrosse team.
Before I started my coaching career I played four years of lacrosse at the College of the Holy Cross, as both a defender and occasional draw taker. At Holy Cross, I earned All-Patriot League Honors and was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week after tying the Patriot-League all-time record of 6 caused turnovers in a single game. During my senior year, I played for the inaugural Italian National Women’s Lacrosse team and was ranked 17th nationally in caused turnovers. From my experience both playing and coaching lacrosse I hope to develop your daughter’s ability to play and love for the game.
